Our work on the Mattancherry Palace vault restoration has been shortlisted in the Built Heritage category of the INTACH Heritage Conservation Awards 2025.
NDVPL is honoured to be shortlisted for the INTACH Heritage Conservation Award 2025, in recognition of our restoration work on the barrel vaults at Mattancherry Palace, Kochi.
The project required extensive archival research to identify the original 16th-century lime mortar composition, followed by laboratory testing and on-site trials before full-scale application. The jury cited the project's "rigorous, evidence-based approach to material authenticity" as a key reason for the shortlisting.
This is the second consecutive year an NDVPL project has been shortlisted for a national conservation award. The final results will be announced at the INTACH annual convention later this year.
