Four decades since our founding, NDVPL reflects on a practice built around one principle — engineering that respects what came before it.
This year marks forty years since NDVPL was founded with a simple premise: that old buildings deserve engineering as careful as the craftsmanship that built them.
Over four decades, that premise has taken us into bridges, churches, forts, mosques, palaces, and ordinary houses across Kerala and beyond — over 200 structures in total, each requiring a different technical answer to the same underlying question: how do we keep this standing without erasing what makes it worth keeping?
We remain a relatively small practice by design. Heritage work rewards depth of experience over scale, and every member of our technical team has spent real time on scaffolding, not just in front of a screen. That isn't going to change in the next forty years either.
